IUCG signs affiliation agreement with UEW

The Islamic University College, Ghana (IUCG) on Tuesday, February 28, 2016 signed an agreement with the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) to run programmes leading to the award of Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Bachelor of Education (ECE) and Professional Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) in ECE. All programes are affiliated to the UEW.

At the signing ceremony, Vice Chancellor of UEW, Prof Mawutor Avoke, expressed delight that the IUCG settled on the UEW as its mentor university for its programmes in Education. He implored the IUCG to replicate the high academic standards of UEW which was discernible from the very elaborate and meticulous process which had culminated in the signing of the MOU. Dr. C. Y. Akwaa Mensah, Registrar of UEW, reiterated the need for the IUCG to uphold and maintain the high standards that UEW requires of its affiliates.
Dr. K. G. Erbynn, Vice President (Academic Affairs) of IUCG, thanked the VC and all the hardworking officers of UEW for ensuring that the MOU was signed. He assured that the IUCG will keep to the required standards, and prayed the UEW to continue to assist and guide the IUCG, especially its nascent Department of Education.

The ceremony took place at the Council Chamber of the UEW. Other officers of IUCG present were Mr. Awudu Moro, Director of General Administration; Mr. Mohammed Kassim, Director of Academic Administration and Mr. Ernest K. AWANTA, Head of Department of Education.
