Cristiano Ronaldo has just bought a massive Buddha statue for his house.
The Real Madrid superstar is not known for being the serene type,
having recently blasted his team-mates after a loss to rivals Atletico.
But perhaps fearing karmic repercussions, he has just purchased a giant sculpture of a monk head for his front lawn.
Since bagging the buddha, Ronnie has begun to exhibit some monkish behaviour too.
The Portugese recently admitted that he is a hermit at Real Madrid, and only has four friends.
But Ronaldo does not seem to be taking his new-found spirituality too seriously.
Even though Buddha did not care for material possessions, Ronaldo
uploaded a snap of his Porsche onto Instagram with the monolithic monk
in the background.
So will Ronaldo finally renounce his ego after getting in touch with his inner buddhist?
